We have an opening for an driven and passionate fresh food chef de partie to join our team on a permanent basis. The role is salaried and is contracted for 48 hours a week, although where a candidate would prefer, we'd be happy to offer a flexible, hourly rate as well. This includes a mix of early starts (8am), evenings, weekends and public holidays. Wherever possible we try to offer a positive work/home life balance for staff.

The Royal is a busy and newly refurbished gastro pub in the village of Bolton-le-sands. We focus on modern British pub food using fresh and local ingredients delivered to us 6 days a week. Our menus change each month with the kitchen team having a very hands-on role in developing the menus alongside the head chef, Sous chef and owner. We serve food all day, 7 days a week with the kitchen shutting at 9pm each evening and at 8pm on Sundays.


The right candidate will be passionate about fresh, modern food and will be comfortable across a number of styles of cuisine. We are a busy pub so the successful candidate will need to be able to work calmly and capably under steady pressure as part of a brigade, plating up with an eye for detail whilst delivering consistently high standards. It is important that the successful candidate comes with a positive 'can do' attitude and works well as part of a driven team.
