⚠️ Car parking changes ⚠️ Starting today we’ve implemented some significant changes to the way our car park operates. It’s with absolutely no pleasure that we’ve finally conceded the we’ve been left with no choice but to implement a system to help manage our limited car parking facilities. For years we’ve shared our car park (without grumble) with other local businesses, nearby residents, people dropping the car off and getting on the bus for a day out, etc, etc etc. Whilst we get it and haven’t kicked up a fuss, it has increasingly caused a problem as our business gets busier and busier and the spaces become more and more valuable to us. We’ve finally reached a tipping point where we need to prioritise the needs of our customers, many of whom travel to us from surrounding areas and obviously bring cars. Cars need spaces. We’ve partnered with a third party who manage the system and provide the infrastructure. Moving forward, guests will need to enter their registration plate on our system in-house on every visit, or risk incurring an enforceable fine from our third party. Our team will of course guide and remind guests to ensure there’s no problems. It’s naturally important to us that there are safeguards that protect our genuine customers from being stung and we are in control of them. If genuine customers have difficulties and can demonstrate they were guests on the day in question, we will intervene and overturn any fines. There will be little sympathy for people that don’t heed the warnings, aren’t customers and end up with a fine in the post. This is is not about making money out of this situation, we don’t make any from it. This is just a practical measure to make sure that we have our car park spaces free for our customers. Nothing more. We will of course monitor the situation as time goes on to ensure any teething problems are dressed quickly. We are sorry that it’s had to come to this, but sadly we couldn’t see another way. We are open to dialogue and to answer any concerns guests may have 😬
